Are you a residence life professional who manages a building? Do you work in facilities or operations? If so (and that probably covers everyone!), this presentation is for you! This session will explore research and theory surrounding the design of physical environments and how they shape student behavior. Whether you’re picking out new furniture for a hall, setting bulletin board expectations for your RA staff, or even building a new facility, this session will discuss how the varied elements of physical design impact the experience of our students, families, and guests. Come with your critical facilities caps on, because we’ll be analyzing the physical space of our conference center!
